E. Reckner Greenhouses is a family owned and operated business located in Melville, & Aquebogue, NY. The "E." serves as a nod to the owner’s grandfather, Edward, who put up their first greenhouse back in 1949. Since then the business has gone on to the 3rd generation and expanded to include wholesale cut-flowers, retail floral arrangements, Christmas greens, and handmade soap. In the winter of 2015, family members purchased land in the East End in Aquebogue to grow its floral varieties, which include Amaranthus, Asters, Celosia, Coxcomb, Cosmos, Dahlias, Pom Poms, SnapDragons, and more. One of the oldest greenhouses in Melville, E. Reckner Greenhouses is a proud member of the Long Island Farm Bureau and the Long Island Flower Grower's Association, furthering its mission to embrace and provide access to locally-grown flowers and plants.
