Start with a Flower In A Bag!

This Valentine’s Day join us at our Huntington studio from 1pm to 3pm for an afternoon of flowers, sweets, and shared creativity—designed for couples who want to connect through making, not performing. Stems & Sweets - a two part workshop experience - blends floral design, cupcake decorating, and brunch-date energy into a thoughtful, hands-on experience that’s equal parts intentional and fun. Note: this intimate event will only accommodate four couples; RSVPs will close by February 5th.

Part One: Stems with your parter; an Ikebana- Inspired Centerpiece Workshop

The afternoon will begin with a guided floral design session inspired by ikebana, the Japanese art of arrangement that emphasizes balance, form, and negative space. Working side by side, couples will co-create a shared centerpiece—balancing differing perspectives, practicing restraint, and learning how each stem quite literally relies on the other to stand. No floral experience required—just curiosity and a willingness to collaborate. Each guest will be given a beautiful ceramic bowl complete with a metal pin frog and choose an assortment of flowers from our Flower Bar - a selection of premium varieties sourced directly from local and regional farmers - to bring to life their designs by balancing ideas, practicing collaboration, and building together.

Part Two: Sweets for your partner; a Cupcake Decorating Mini Workshop

We’ll then channel our creative energy into something a bit sweeter with a mini cupcake decorating workshop that invites each partner to design independently, decorating a piece of edible art for their loved one. Led by Casey of Casey Cakes, each guest will decorate a red velvet cupcake with cream cheese frosting and learn piping skills to create buttercream flowers. You’ll be provided buttercream to decorate, practice piping board, sprinkles, piping tips, and aprons.

Thoughtful, playful, and a little revealing, it’s a fun “how well do you know your partner?” moment that brings the afternoon full circle—ending on a sweet note in every sense.

Light brunch bites—featuring a selection of pastries from Casey Cakes—and festive beverages will be provided, rounding out the perfect afternoon date.
